Celebrating 192 years of history and tradition The Shelbourne is a timeless landmark in the heart of Dublin. Magnificently renovated in 2007 and the largest 5 star hotel in Ireland it overlooks the city’s grandest square, St. Stephen’s Green which is located within a few minutes’ walk from Dublin’s most famous landmarks as well as the key shopping and cultural areas of the city. The Shelbourne has for nearly two centuries, played a significant role in the literary, social, political, culinary and artistic traditions of Irish society. In 1922 the Irish constitution was drafted at The Shelbourne, chaired by Michael Collins, and one of the two original copies are to be found in the Constitution Suite. Named after The Shelbourne’s historic dining room, The Saddle Room is an old favourite reinvented as a modern steak and seafood restaurant, with a lavish oyster bar. Created to inspire the senses – the sights and sounds of the open kitchen, the soft touch of leather banquettes, dark oak walls and rich splashes of gold combine to offer a unique dining experience. No. 27 Bar & Lounge
No. 27 Bar & Lounge sparkles with style and sophisticated fun and is the place to see and be seen in Dublin. No.27 Bar is decorated richly, in keeping with the heritage of this great hotel and our guests can relax and savour the specially commissioned artwork of Victor Richardson echoing the views outside. Our Sunday Jazz Brunch has become very popular in No.27 Bar & Lounge. Choose from brunch menu favourites including American style pancakes, surf and turf, eggs benedict and The Shelbourne full Irish.

Comfort and glamour combined, makes it a favourite spot for our renowned Shelbourne Afternoon Tea, which has become an iconic tradition in Dublin. It is never too soon to introduce the younger members of the family to this much loved tradition, with our Children’s Afternoon Tea designed specifically for the younger generation. It is not uncommon to see famous Irish and international faces mingling with local Dubliners enjoying this award-winning indulgence. This May, The Shelbourne introduces The Wonderland Afternoon Tea Menu inspired by Alice Through the Looking Glass.
